The first games of FIFA’s Club World Cup already took place.
Last December 6th the team that received the host country wild card to enter in the competition – Sanfrecce Hiroshima – beat Auckland City FC by 1-0 nill (amazing goal you can see in the video below) thus gaining a spot in the first quarter-final against Al Ahly (African Champions). However, in yesterday’s game against the Egyptian team the japanese were unable to succeed and were defeated by 2-1. Al Ahly will face Corinthians from Brazil in the 1st semi-final that will be held Wednesday, December 12th (10.30 CET).
The second semi-final will put Chelsea (directly seeded for being Europe’s representative) against the Mexican team of FC Monterrey that defeated Ulsan Hyundai (asian Champions) also yesterday by 3-1. The second semi-final is scheduled for December 13th (also at 10.30 CET).
The title match will take place 4 days after on the 16th (10:30 CET as well).
