FIFA’s Club World Cup 2012 – First Summary Results

The first games of FIFA’s Club World Cup already took place.

Last December 6th the team that received  the host country wild card to enter in the competition – Sanfrecce Hiroshima – beat Auckland City FC by 1-0 nill (amazing goal you can see in the video below) thus gaining a spot in the first quarter-final against Al Ahly (African Champions). However, in yesterday’s game against the Egyptian team the japanese were unable to succeed and were defeated by 2-1. Al Ahly will face Corinthians from Brazil in the 1st semi-final that will be held Wednesday, December 12th (10.30 CET).

The second semi-final will put Chelsea (directly seeded for being Europe’s representative) against the Mexican team of FC Monterrey that defeated Ulsan Hyundai (asian Champions) also yesterday by 3-1. The second semi-final is scheduled for December 13th (also at 10.30 CET).

The title match will take place 4 days after on the 16th (10:30 CET as well).
