World Series By Renault – António Félix da Costa wins Race1 at Catalunya, Spain

Portuguese Red Bull’s Young Driver Programme António Félix da Costa won today his third race in World Series By Renault 3.5. , a category that has allowed in the past  several drivers to pave their way to Formula 1.

Félix da Costa won the race with almost a 4 seconds advantage over Sam Bird. This is Félix da Costa third win within the last 4 races (and he finished 2nd in the other one). With this win he went up to 4th position in the World Championship. Although he will be unable to reach the title since the last race will be held tomorrow also in Catalunya, Félix da Costa is definitely the best driver in this category.

Had he started the season in World Series By Renault – he was involved in GP3 championship and failed to start the first 5 races of World Series By Renault (there are a total of 18 races in the season) – and surely we would end up as Champion. Félix da Costa is just 48 points behind the current championship leader that took part in all races (25 points for a win in each race).

Félix da Costa is therefore the pilot with more points gained per race ran.
