Portuguese rider Miguel Oliveira finished yesterday the Australian Moto3 Grand Prix in 2nd place, his best result ever, after his first podium finish in Barcelona (3rd place also this season) since he started running in this category in 2011 (formerly called 125 c.c.).
With this result Miguel Oliveira ascended to 7th place in the Moto3 overall classification having still a chance to reach 5th place in the last race to be held in Valencia, Spain, next November 11th.
Hopefully, Miguel Oliveira’s 2011/2012 performance may grant him the opportunity to go up to Moto2 in the 2012/2013 season, the category before the king class ‘MotoGP’.
The Australian Grand Prix also saw Spaniards Jorge Lorenzo and Marc Marquez becoming champions on MotoGP and Moto2, respectively.
