After his last and first win in World Series by Renault’s Hungary race, Portuguese António Félix da Costa won again this weekend, now the first race in the French Paul Ricard circuit.
Under very hard and wet track conditions, Félix da Costa started 3rd on the grid and made a poor departure finishing first lap only in 8th place. Nonetheless, the skills of this impressive Portuguese driver were all over the circuit and he gradually climbed places on the classification until he reached 1st place within just 12 minutes of the race finish.
He also became the first pilot to win two World Series by Renault’s races in a row this year!!
This was again an outstanding performance of the most recent Red Bull’s young driver programme Pilot and shows that is path towards Formula 1 is more a more a reality and matter of time.
Congratulations for such a fantastic race youngman and for raising the Portuguese Flag High-up on the Podium!
